Tuesday, 24th February, 2026
Dublin, Ireland
Irelandia, the aviation investment platform established by the Ryan family, Tuesday 24th February, releases a “Progress Report” on its “Pathfinder for Irish Aviation” report that was published in May 2025.
This report provides guidance on how each of the 5 core policy recommendations in “Pathfinder” have evolved since last summer and details the progress made in each.
There has been active engagement with many stakeholders across the island of Ireland to elicit projects that advance the aviation industry as an employment generator and as an enabler and supporter of Tourism, FDI and indigenous industry in the Irish economic model.
This report outlines the steps underway to bring forward tangible developments in support of the Irish aviation sector.
Dr Declan Ryan, Founder of Irelandia, says “I am very encouraged by the extensive engagement by various stakeholders across Ireland in the debate about the future of Irish aviation which “Pathfinder” has triggered. I welcome the Minister for Transport Darragh O’Brien’s interest in our work and would encourage him and his civil servants to be ambitious and forward thinking when releasing their Aviation Industry Strategy during 2026. Ireland can play a major part in the expected doubling of global air travel in the next 20 years if appropriate policy initiatives are implemented”
